Extra! Extra! Read all about it!!
Spring Break is coming! Spring Break is when we all get to have the time of our lives.
Starting Monday, April 14, 2014 through Friday, April 18, 2014 Lexington 1 will observe Spring Break. Are you going to go on a cruise? Go to the beach?
Well if you don’t have a lot of money, you could visit your friends, relax at home, or even visit the park. All of those ideas are free.
I cant wait to just relax, sleep in, and stay up late! So what are you doing for spring break?
The month of February was National Children’s Dental Health Month. We had visitors come and speak to the Kindergarten classes. Students learned about keeping their teeth clean all the time. The students learned to floss and see the dentist often. They also worked on trying to get the students to understand that sometimes you have to eat healthy to have white and shiny teeth.
Tooth decay is the most common problem for young children. The American Dental Association is trying to prevent that. Forty percent of children already have cavities and we don’t want kids at young ages getting cavities when they still have their baby teeth. The main reason we had people visit our school to talk about National Dental Health Month was to raise awareness for our Kindergarten classes.
